THE PROMISED PICS

Okay, so I promised these a week ago....sorry I'm late getting them posted. This has been a busy week and husband, Russ, left for Californiaon Wednesday to serve with the Red Cross in providing aide to the fire victims.

These are the three projects we will be doing at our Thrifty Nifty Gifty class on November 9. The recipe card holder is a variation on one I did at daughter Lori's club workshop, the candy jar is from Judy Jones (StampinJudy)...isn't it just stinkin' cute! The post-it note holder was modeled after one that Deb Felts received as a swap at the Orlando Regional Conference. I can't wait until the 9th to show everyone how to make these thrifty nifty gifties.

On the right side of my blog I've posted a picture of the card and ornaments we did at our demo training meeting...thanks to Deb Franz for teaching us these neat projects and for hosting the meeting.

Today I got my halloween cards finished and mailed to the grandkids. I had so much fun making them and I'm sure they'll be delighted to receive them...especially since I put money in them. :)

A Busy October

Wow, this has been a busy month! World Card Making Day on the 6th was fun as I had 6 friends over for a stamp-a-stack. Lots of cards were made using the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit. We started at 10 amm took time out for a lasagna lunch, then finished up around 2 pm. Sylvia was the most ambitious having made 12 cards!

Mid month we took a trip up to South Carolina to visit daughter Lori and family. Since she is also my up-line, this was a learning experience as well. She had two workshops while we were there and I learned how to do some neat projects. It's always fun to be stamping with Lori! We made the cutest little coaster scrapbook, which I will put on my January class agenda. We also made Christmas cards and a recipe holder.

Last night was our local demo training and swap. For her swap, Judy Jones made the cutest candy jar out of a Starbuck's Cappuccino bottle that is just too stinkin' cute! I'll be adding this project to our Thrifty Nifty Gifty class on November 6.

Tomorrow I'll upload pics of some of this month's projects. I love Christmas and have enjoyed all the crafting for the holidays.
