Now that the cards are done it's time to look at those home-made gifts and ornaments. So, on Monday, December 12 we will be making a cookie bag (images show closed and open), table favor (or small gift for friends or classmates), and an ornament. If you'd like to join this class for these projects, e-mail me at kathystamps@gmail.com for more information.
Oranges, rusts, reds and browns, apples and pumpkin pie, Halloween and Thanksgiving. This is my stamping inspiration for the season. The tree image was stamped on So Saffron paper with Versamark ink and embossed with clear EP. I then sponged on orange and brown inks and 'Polished' ink off of embossed area with a paper towel. This technique is called Emboss Resist. Happy Fall!

Kathy Kamradt
Stampin' Up! I used the direct to paper technique using Mellow Moss as my base and then randomly hitting it with Old Olive, Whisper White and Garden Green ink pads. Over that I stamped the swirls from Season of Joy in Whisper White, Always Artichoke and gold.

Not sure how to find inspiration for your cards? Unfortunately, the shimmer on these cards does not sparkle through the scanning process. These cards are MUCH prettier in person.

The Noel cards both used the same technique. First I inked the stamp with Classic Ink and then patted on shimmer paint with a sponge and then stamped the paper. This made a nice shimmery color.

The Happy Holidays card was made by mixing a couple of drops of shimmer paint with a drop of Old Olive re-inker, then painting in the trees. I followed this with Stickles on the stars and ornaments in gold, red, and green. For the snow at the base of the trees I used some Puffy 3-D Glue.

On the Seasons Greetings card, using the Top Note Die I die cut a piece of window sheet, then taped it over a piece of water color paper using Dotto removable tape. I put this in my spray box and sprayed it with a mixture of 1 ounce of alcohol, a few drops of shimmer paint and a couple of drops of re-inker. (You can find small travel size spray bottles at the drug store.) Carefully remove the window sheet as it will be wet and drippy. Let the sprayed piece dry, which doesn't take long because of the alcohol. The trees were painted with silver shimmer paint then stamped into the sprayed area. This card has wonderful shimmer to it, but did not photograph very well.

It may be hot outside, but for a little while we felt cool as we stamped these holiday cards. Of course, the air conditioning helped too.: )Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-59948864100621102142011-07-03T19:47:00.003-04:002011-07-03T20:05:43.159-04:00I'M BACK!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhni3QKFLLKmuHrBUbWrfaPPOdeaz1aDJzJzk_OG7jyxZMDmQuUHYRJw5IjWcdqU0CYzf_6xUKDrMwazeI-UOPo4fqufgoG32it22E5I6P8UWZaxr14l3eT50-X591wy_IN-677wRW-PFAa/s320/100_3586.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625280540125372802" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD2cJiGf2l7d_1HhYcyfJxdSm4p3_fHnD9E8Kbvy4eElbcvLH7nBQRlmLe2Qh3uHXATOCtRwyN06LSVEg9FtaV2yGVzQocY_bSceRFnwSJz4QprpDJVDoZ5rqi3MaxVia87eChxendW7U2/s320/100_3723.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625280529863316002" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwPBlalLhfVd30cnIrvb9J3dMFFR8FUU53goDgANkbMFjSEobeoAAPySWA-N5oH7B4hn6reONbgaeCWYphSXIbvV9hiIee-wD8c5zc2qgbEeoOszqFfeu989d9EcyUoY6IoTd2pbWhEHfG/s320/100_3584.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625280515643281138" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDnl9EqMzQ65eGpt1geaMNbjV7NNr0TSMWCvpdJI9tKE4BEGY8MPdhusNU1Z0bbn5GfWvdloxdBDGi6RWqJJakHdm2pb1Xdnjh6HlFcNNiEVSK5FhvJ7Kjb13MKLHhzqRhZOSrIXujZauo/s320/100_3601.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5625280547224170130" />
Gosh, I can't believe it's been over 4 months since my last post. Throughout much of the Spring I was remodeling my craft room. It took a bit longer than planned due to various issues with supplies and furniture, but that's a story for another day. I am so pleased with my new "Craft Cave" and find it so much more efficient than before. The work table is in the middle of the room and offers cubbies on two sides for my stuff. Another favorite is the hanging wall shelf for my stamp pads,reinkers, ribbons and embellishments. More cubbies along the walls and a repainted cabinet finish off the room. I kept my computer desk and just moved it across the room so I don't get light reflection from the window. I found some fabric at JoAnn's to make a cornice over the window, which set the theme for the room.

I'm planning to organize and transfer to disks the pictures of my craft projects, so in the process I'll try to get some posted here as well. In the meantime...

Happy Stampin'!

Kathy Kamradt
Stampin' Up! This was fun to make and I can't wait to share this technique. The handled box was created from the card stock that was left after last month's Valentine candy card. I have made these for the grand kids that I will be visiting next week...filled with candy and filled with love. The class for both of these projects will be at the Village Gallery at Stiles and Smith in Orange Park on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 10:00 am. E-mail me at kathystamps@gmail.com if you are interested in attending.

I am in the midst of renovating my craft room and all of my supplies are in boxes or stacked up in my Florida room. Stamping is a challenge right now, but I know I will have a wonderful work space when my craft room is finished. I am so thankful to my darling husband who has taken on this project. The room is painted and the laminate flooring and new desk are ordered. Last week we purchased new cabinets. I will post pictures when the room is completed.Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-34903842565605130962011-01-06T21:13:00.002-05:002011-01-06T21:17:26.487-05:00LOVE IS IN THE AIR<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpX0xjPuOD8i_KyLKY7OcgCY-TyLg9_NwQ-_NzUiAcpfsb0szz4lAT5weuiz2hZ_pXsBZPJvhkhZDg7cdat7cPF0v1yF3IYAOEjCYvbdwd-wpMWaeLKM8mMBa5M7yL-s4HDaRGeyFC0QxA/s320/100_3471.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5559262229026967250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 306px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-ebcylQ47okj0H43Vyov5sFyQhPyxWcBnbOqm30ebeir9Hb6QfmiUuZ66y2e4oSWps6wFz9qqUjvLiQuprV38yNYkSK5PawyamDV8QRAFiFqBNB5lAe4n_ha5n4gGIH8sknARGa8WI7VF/s320/100_3469.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5559261934429233746" />
Happy New Year! I hope you had a happy and healthy Christmas and special times with family and friends. We had a great time in the Tampa area visiting our daughter and grand kids and rang in the New Year back home with good friends.

Now that the holidays are behind us, it’s time to look towards Valentine’s Day. I will be having a class on Monday, January 17 at 9 AM and 7 PM. This Valentine's card is perfect for that special someone, and contains 5 Nugget chocolate candies. The stamp set used is Valentine Defined from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I LOVE the red Glimmer Paper, also from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used it to cover the nuggets and to punch some of the hearts.

The Anniversary card has a cute and clever pair of formal hearts. I saw this card, created by Laurie Zoellmer, on Stampin' Addicts and thought you would like it, too. I love punches and used several of them to make these cards. I hope you like these cards as much as I do. I can't wait to teach this class!

If you'd like more information you can e-mail me at kathystamps@gmail.com.Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-3095842839441081992010-12-14T21:03:00.001-05:002010-12-14T21:05:25.391-05:00Christmas Cards<img style="float:right; And it was my husband!! Yes, he is the lucky recipient of over 20 gifts from Oprah's Favorite Things Part Two that aired the Monday before Thanksgiving. So, Christmas came early for us. The big prize is the new 2012 VW Beetle, which he won't receive until next September. However, there are many other wonderful gifts, and since Oprah is a girly girl, I made out by association. : ) The total value of the gifts is nearly $30,000. You can see a list of the gifts on Oprah's website at Oprah.com. If you scroll down the page you'll see a picture titled "Unforgettable Reactions". Russ is in the middle and his sister in the orange next to him. Oprah's website lists all of the gifts from both give-away shows, but we received half of them...from the I-pod to the car. I am still pinching myself!Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-72186733426417024992010-12-05T20:19:00.005-05:002010-12-05T20:29:13.669-05:00Cards for the Troops<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 252px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhd5KK25jdibkgJAwHe4LAEyenJfr8D1iXjiVgs83mXpKfT2n-nL8cT6svsdlGw95G2SdpkR9XrXqTGLrPYcC2uxmAkoSLvnOXm2TKUSsl1buFKD7XkqXsEn1GsCOYdTFaW2xo8WWv49Ab/s320/Card+for+Troops+50001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547375103995334690" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 250px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji9r_kZ-QRv7eC_lwe9gKp0CEsqysHUoL1_-HmFnAzOS05h9VlLmrKPbDv48myG_-35SstGql_QRFPpZuPx6NHsuQNo7TVBWVbT6yyua4SNbwKxxZyknBb9wPmN8UahCSaaGxZKLteccJX/s320/Card+for+Troops+20001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547374927380106546" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 246px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjFohgARyb3gVgoccFah7PEhHmi03TkXVsUix2wrhmD_VOAniEZvAJFhiuXqm0tXOSrO9-if9axMnVSVNYDyjUPiE1r_BfaEW740O649pybBL-zKwh7XqG8UvkLz9OCMujP2y3UjpDXPl_/s320/Card+for+Troops+30001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547374376026830930" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 244px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNaYMaID_pbmsCgO68c4jZnsI1KFbGGIciPKd0RgMiY7IoEyNgFVyR51CirGrAzugIqqP2UcjZNSYrTox3w1Rdgg8Y_QNf-82FZAhKTn7_c5qUMGk01LqQIdNWzgnCZDjMlKonNg3j-0fX/s320/Card+for+Troops+40001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547374371467326178" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 253px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirWFmBDlnvCMAWBgMDvuAPo5qk-Rl0jhLj0ory-L8LeCyCMvqUHouSz2yX_eqpv-fDy-b_guFUsl7TWdS8tBQwT_Q8vO0JiSxCXsW320pP-MBai1JlUYKN5P9PoIbb-3miWYRzQ4YTIASO/s320/Card+for+Troops+10001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547374361319597250" />
Several of us gathered together on November 19 to make cards for the troops. And you know, the closer it gets, the busier we'll be. So now is the time to get a jump start on the Christmas cards. I will be having a Christmas Stamp-A-Stack on Friday, Sept. 17, where there will be a chance to make 12 cards (3 of each design) for $12. All cards are mailable at the standard rate of 44 cents. I don't think the scans of these cards does justice to them. Each card has either embossing or glitter and are quick and easy to do. I hope you can join me on the 17th. It is a very interesting paper with little bits of stuff in it (note the little leaf). It's soft and smooth on one side and rough on the other. There is wonderful texture to this paper. I made this card using some of the new colors. The base is Early Espresso that I embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog. The stamped image is from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and I framed it in Tangerine Tango and Crumb Cake. The sentiment is stamped on 3/4" twill tape (retired) and I finished it with a jumbo brad.Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-27615832842283538052010-07-12T17:59:00.006-04:002010-07-12T18:24:17.593-04:00BUSY SUMMER<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 248px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuSu0Bp7iY6Ci_Q_r9rLxAGr817w1L_J_ysbpHYjJSkuFoYTJcIypYcf_HBIYX2Wv4URzPGdtiLJDtiDgh1_BaBqOpAJhL3cr5JOM9tw49O3pZIZqNU_RBUPEJK4qXrF0dXrFrVFLYEmHn/s320/Masculine+Tree0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493144638945982338" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 254px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4QWprxkWfTpR9pEJv2_3L5HxKhn42f3K2Xjnu4Zy4YCaAz3GrfXV1jVHhGiyiZyUdM-dU6ZSvaoQX5w2IYMd31jwD5FDhUz2Rfzy3rAzr7my2ZAGPv-pQcZqHrH74crw7N9iXLFpLwvC5/s320/Masculine+Stars0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493144628451530802" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUhZoXvvNpErz2_VPxWdu6WB7avA0EUDTgvKzRsSJsLJlBbXXzc_QElnghb18Dw0WVlAx3syicZ8u3McHuvhpUODDaFwD5uybSO_UiLWBf8MsqZbOtrIIl209omfK32ifjx_e5dbDYFP0p/s320/Masculine+Monochromatic0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5493144626143581602" />
Wow, this is turning out to be a very busy summer. Spent a week in Costa Rica in June doing mission work along with 25 other folks from our church. What a great experience! This past week Russ and I spent a week with our daughter, Lori, helping her get settled in her new home...lots of cleaning to do! Russ built a really cool desk for our grandson, Blake. Later this month we will be heading up to Chicago to visit with family and I plan to attend the CHA Super Show with my sister, since I missed it when it was in Orlando last year. In August I'll be back at Lori's to watch the grand kids, since she returns to her teaching job before they start school.

In between the traveling I managed to have a masculine card class. We never seem to have enough cards for the guys in our lives. I had wanted to do this class before Father's Day, but couldn't manage it until the end of June. The monochromatic green card can work for guys or gals and the "tree" card uses Lovely as a Tree, one of my favorite sets and one that always works well for a masculine card. The "stars" card was made using the Felted Cardstock technique. Splitcoast Stampers has a tutorial that can be found HERERuss and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-43190431296227220562010-06-05T15:48:00.004-04:002010-06-05T16:01:38.019-04:00Clean or Stamp...That is the Question<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1El2GO-cH1peNc5QqaIxpiDfewI7j5g42VhhKVbbK5LSaYRHQDHgX6viiRzs8wFsoTeNHWyFGK9GUkre1_s7DQM9sE-TwW5xqD_r1IgOJgklP2Ecj_g52O1zEC-Pr3HMn1jVx3GHUM9rF/s320/100_2776.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479381892062161234" />
I really need to clean my craft room...there is ink, paper, stamps and who knows what all over the place! The only problem is, whenever I go into that room to clean I end up stamping instead. I keep looking over my shoulder for fear that people from the TV show, "Hoarders," might be lurking around the corner. With all the new Stampin' Up! products soon to appear, and so many colors and stamps retiring, I really need to do a clean sweep and purge my stash of stampin' stuff. The plan is to have a BIG sale in July.

So today I planned on cleaning but ended up doing a Splitcoast Stampers challenge instead. Today is an inspiration challenge from the Layla Grayce website. I loved this picture:
http://www.laylagrayce.com/Departments/Home-Store/Bedding/Bella-Notte.aspx
and was inspired to create this card. So now I'm going to get off the computer and CLEAN.Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-52904946487292561782010-04-19T21:38:00.006-04:002010-04-19T22:15:54.980-04:00Special Techniques for Mother's Day<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXuglGPVwgOM9yGMR9Py0cPbQBxnMPe45cn7MDUKeTrhjlBhyoIWkV4qiyu3gcxw6jdZU8lGbTyFBX4-LGJacCXarMwkITgAdWv12vllj4OJ_ieIpP-r48qZSHJ59JO1qHKmkxoMENCG60/s320/100_2765.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462036961886907058" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6vdNk9Fd1NjxTSSoKo-T95McibDR7xntZYi-W1QTIolZpBaBwAGa_lwo7sgxuB_0GoYUECYqnlaRlYkbeP3rlJ9wiUnF0bLbTnpOgOjrYZfOsJcdTEWOeOgQu_4lWl3efa_cytFmmFzcb/s320/100_2766.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462036959663784066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7lgKzbthPqEAhIp-lWj4w_-HlyoVUpnE05oAbEZWB8D8V3oe_iD7EGDhwoFrcEI_JYZa5pZqe6YhS3lVnU8KJo9sL2IHhgHZmkyEyTIO_sXddwP_p1E8dWsU1IM-XXG0UFaJZ7egJ29JT/s320/100_2764.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462036805354726914" />
April has been a busy month. I hope everyone had a good Easter. We had "Grandma Camp" with two of our grand kids during spring break and really enjoyed our time together.

So now it is time to look towards May and Mother's Day. I chose to do a class teaching the paper tole technique on a Mother's Day card. I love the 3-D flower on this card, although the dimension doesn't really show in the picture. We will also be making an Altoid tin accordion fold mini album, decorated in designer paper and embellished with a flower made from satin ribbon. I am really looking forward to this class on Wednesday, April 28 at 9 am.

Also, this will be the last chance to order from the Occasions Mini Catalog. This has been a popular mini with so many neat products. The most popular item was the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die on page 34. Also popular was the Scallop Trim Corner punch which coordinates with the Scallop Trim Border punch that was available during Sale-A-Bration. Well Scripted was also popular. This beautifully scripted set on page 19 was used on our Easter cards and will be used on our Mother's Day card as well. Vintage Vogue and the coordinating wheel, Very Vintage, on pages 26 and 27 have been selling well and also Sweet Pea Stitched Felt on page 32. The Occasions Mini also introduced the clear-mount stamp sets and the flatter design on the new punches. These features will be available on all upcoming stamp sets and punches. So take another look at your Occasions mini catalog before it goes away. If you don't have the catalog you can view it on-line at www.stampinup.com.

If you'd like to attend my class on the 28th, please RSVP to kathystamps@gmail.com no later than April 26.Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-44840352443694095122010-03-17T20:32:00.006-04:002010-03-17T20:46:46.778-04:00Beautiful Backgrounds<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 252px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZg1LlTyLdtMep0gcYc1YEvR1YmVUHWAXfFddGU7AFy2-bJu0aqk37YHGRFTT94TpPNvx_3j7UY3sINkcqStzuZ6G4O1nzjwjStehM5QIYg9C9-b2wckcruqey41p5GcBHNcZek9P-sH7l/s320/Faux+Silk+Single+Pattern0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449767862362290786" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 249px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZuKvXFUvafBqsWRFTD1ks7OqsSdQCvzWcFuGwh5kJl-8-Xli-HatoL_Ec8Xt6bJipK21AfpPaiUxdTwODcq4fyqeeSYpA7JLZIyrj0tq5OE6MaInH9lucBzFFKVP5FvxhVqNViKPvOpHc/s320/Faux+Silk+Stripes0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449767703949222834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif7tBodTXF-ce7TY8pDP150YclAEJB9izdstXMTk1gTtIavtpYHGZv1qBWxYShjr_mTs-Sc4ly-BBLnKJMMlBbw7yCmeLTWqdEmHsFP_P2pauAzDwaCjFg2xEOUO4LFdZxR3ICsjhsbcx9/s320/Faux+Silk+Grapes0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449767696622122466" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 251px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkW3ETuvwV5p9nVrxbeonwNf91qxhl5NRlejbSZo0ycRGP4ThgB1mq6A6diHZemN2ABaffSg4YR82xQYlWAF4b096mi8SIlcoxkfgOnoRTA-w0SLnfyZNEcCKt4tgUy3eDsAlKWBGi5YpH/s320/Shaving+Cream+Technique0002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449767693883851666" />
On Wednesday, March 24 at 10 AM, I will be teaching several background techniques in a class at my home. Nevertheless, I've been inspired to create some Spring cards. With St. Patrick's Day only a few weeks away, I thought this would be a good subject for one of the cards in my next class. Since I don't have any shamrock stamps, I decided to create one using the large heart punch and the heart Embosslit from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. A bit of designer series paper and gingham ribbon add interest to this card. And of course a Spring class wouldn't be Spring without Easter projects, so I've created a card using the Abundant Hope stamp set from the SU Occasions Mini catalog. This is a great set for coloring so I thought I would take this opportunity to teach 4 applications for coloring using pastels, watercolor pencils, markers or ink pads. Participants will also have an opportunity to make a little candy card with a piece of Easter chocolate candy (YUM). The class for these projects will be Friday, February 26 at 10 am. If you are interested in participating in the class, e-mail me at kathystamps@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, February 24.
Happy Stampin'!Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-2492051516474605412010-02-09T14:28:00.013-05:002010-02-09T17:23:50.099-05:00HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 158px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht7ivaZxXhuBTwUtzfrK4feULE5Lk9a06uz3oHoVQpvx6831hhDsf1C-KHOxrLkrAh6vD1BtewNvWqsJg5aqbSkGtvDSfBJ5sWUCgNLfvrubiLj1W16-ZYgai0Jkqh0T5-ZLgqgvQSU2F0/s200/Valentine+Always0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436340951362592770" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 156px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-JyEtEalMYkGPbk7JlwbjWFU78c8hsnV6nYowbMrQ4JbGry1ySFzS1Zq4DfY67QBlXF5KoQFpFebCL4bjcIqXefEfHS00dgVZJ8u1tk94sYkd0N9r2CVXyV5JcGH4JoplviswkEl5NtRw/s200/Valentine+Manhattan+Flowers0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436340579377653122" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 162px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP9rG27e507zLBSHRim7HWoGZy9lPODv0Q-qmeGnyQs1Z2TgkcMPnCmcmZNK2236lt8uHP3qFIrfCH-wmFcq0SBW65-5QJAx7S7wmYJwVIFvyrtg3njlLHKQ0ejXG7lShBzDGSIqCFHfSz/s200/Valentine+Die+Cut+Hearts0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436340574149370834" />
........As my thoughts turn to flowers and chocolate, I've been inspired to make Valentine cards. I just love making holiday cards and Valentine's is especially fun with hearts and flowers, red and pink. Stampin' Up! has some fantastic Valentine stamps, punches and designer papers. I also love the heart in the Always set, which actually is a wedding set and one that my sister got me for Christmas. (Love you Dot!) I hope you like these cards and feel inspired by them. This means FREE 'stuff'. With every $50 purchase Stampin' Up! will give us a free stamp set, paper pack or punch. Wooo Hooo! We always love FREE stuff!! SU has expanded the program this year to include 77 stamp sets from the *big* catalog.

Also, starting today, Jan. 5, the Occasions Mini Catalog goes into effect. Wow! Lots of really cool new stuff...my wish list is huge! So many awesome stamp sets and accessories for spring!

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, it's time to bring out the red and pink! I've planned a class for Jan. 13. Since there have been requests for the mini purse, I will include it in this class along with a Valentine's card. Oh how I love the new glittery Specialty Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Mini! Too bad the glitter doesn't show up in the photo. If you'd like information on this class, just e-mail me at kathystamps@gmail.com. I've been a stampin' factory as I made over 60 Christmas cards before Thanksgiving. Also managed a class and a couple of workshops in that time. Then began our travels. First to Seattle for 10 days over the Thanksgiving holiday to visit our son and his family. A week at home to get laundry and Christmas shopping and decorating done and then off to Columbia, SC for our daughter Lori's graduation from the University of South Carolina. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and we are so very proud of her! Needless to say, I've had to scurry to catch up with the holiday shopping. At any rate, it's all done...just need to get the Christmas cards addressed and mailed.

In the midst of our busy-ness we need to remember the reason for the season. May the peace of Christmas enfold you and fill you with love and joy.Russ and Kathy Kamradthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12086920386416994397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3864741261393814747.post-23707738150026121932009-09-11T19:22:00.005-04:002009-09-11T19:26:19.163-04:00Tri-Shutter Card<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 246px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgE6w2Yj-5qBvE_LV1mppqiE0jpoqGV60dn_AumxAdfcytGokUcmEPTI93L2fZTHNR8JI0ObuZy6rdQB69X5hyphenhyphenJDdLlSG3JN1D8RdrBY_6qBnFBqy_1ZPf0jG2ZCJCclzMa8Uy6a_84zMaz/s320/Tri+Shutter+Fold+Card0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380354635308968146" />
Here is the Tri-Shutter Card closed.
